Slow down at the IRS

Just a quick note for those e-filing their tax extensions this week. The IRS is experiencing some technical problems. These problems aren’t anything you need to worry about, but they could slow down the filing process. Coupled with the heavy volume their servers will be hit with in these next few days, these issues could result in longer confirmation and approval times. In normal circumstances, your tax extension could be approved within an hour. This week, it could take longer than that. All the more reason to get your extension filed now.
